“One League is beyond an opportunity for young people’s development; it is the space for great learning, mastery, and empowerment to lead change.” – Veronica Agyiri
One League is the space and the platform for empowering a generation of unconventional problem-solvers.
“I was one of the lucky ones selected to be given this lifetime opportunity to pursue higher education with curriculum and faculty from the world’s best universities along with 50+ young achievers from over 30 countries around the world.”
My class includes a Forbes 30 under 30 Fellow, a Top 100 Women in Technology Fellow, a Climate Reality Leader, an Oxford University Press Author, a Dell Scholar, and many Harvard Crossroads Emerging Leaders, and a Dell Scholar, and more. Fellows representing different disciplines include accounting, finance, applied mathematics, communications, anthropology, biochemistry, civil engineering, machine learning, law, and medicine, and the list is long.
One League selected and placed me in a common space with outstanding talent. Within a period of barely six months, I feel empowered, connected, and able to add my voice to national and global conversations.
What Does Empowerment Mean at One League?
Studying at One League comes with infinite opportunities for growth and empowerment. One League’s core curriculum for the MBA program is curated from Harvard Business Publishing and is taught exclusively using the Harvard case study method. Moreover, One League offers the option to pursue dual fields of study i.e. a One League MBA degree with a MicroMastersin Statistics and Data Science from MITx (in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Institute for Data, Systems, Society (IDSS) or Advanced Certification in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Stanford Online.
Next, there is Mentorship! Yes, One League has connected each Fellow to a Global Mentor. I am particularly amazed by the portfolio of the members of the One League Mentorship Board. In addition to being icons in diverse specializations, they are also scholars and passionate about mentoring us to identify our hidden potential and guide us on our paths to success.
Over the past few months of connecting with my Global Mentor, I have been challenged, directed, and inspired to overcome my personal challenges, especially my low self-confidence. Improving my self-confidence is of great importance to my personal growth as it really sets the tone for unearthing my potential and going all out to try new things. I have improved massively, and the journey to greater learning with my mentor has just begun.
And in response to the question Umaimah asked on that first day, “Tell me, what is it that you plan to do with your one wild and precious life,” I emailed to myself:
"Dear Veronica Agyiri,
Coming from a background of nothingness, raised by a single parent, and pushed by circumstances to fight your way to where you are today, you are the answer.
You are the answer to the illiteracy rate in your community. No child should be left out. Every child deserves the best education.
Education at the secondary level in Ghana must move away from theory into practicals and skills orientation.
Your educational consultancy firm will solve these problems.
Regards,
Veronica"
One League is an overtaking force in the development of unconventional problem-solving and leadership for communities, organizations, and countries the world is soon to witness, and I am super proud to be a part of the very first class of this legacy.
Join us on this incredible journey. The future is waiting.
