If there’s ever been a time we stand united, it is
Now!
If there’s ever been a moment we could be patriotic,
giving no room to differences; the moment is Now!
If there ever came a time we open our eyes to the
fact that, we have only one race- the human race; it is Now!
Now, when we battle the fierce and faceless
Pandemic; under the code of Covid – 19.
Now, when our world and nature struggle under the
merciless virus; claiming the lives of the rich, poor, young and old. Not
respecting territories, skins, affluence and ages.
Now, more than ever, we ought to come to the
understanding that we share a common fate, our very safety depends on the well-
being of others.
Battling Covid- 19, is
a global call to being human and not
only a call to human beings. Being human transcends our very view of those
around us. Being human is to look out for others in every situation- that is
what we are ought to do. Our intangible ammunition now, is the power of a
common voice in our mutual war against this deadly disease. Being human is bringing on board your knowledge and expertise to help the situation. In times as this, we ought to connect talents, intellect and skills to form the wall of defense in our battle.
In the face of this fearful virus, we speak a
common language; rich and poor, young and old:
- · Stay
home!
- · Wash hands regularly under running water
- · Avoid
handshakes and
- · Practice
social distancing.
- · Regularly
sanitize your hands with alcohol based sanitizers.
To everyone, our refusal to educate those around us,
is our refusal to stay safe. In my household, I cannot but sound all the safety tips with them and ensure that the kids adhere to the safety tips too. Let’s pause to look out for others, support those
who need it to stay safe.
Let’s join hands to stay safe, preach safety and
together, we shall come out victorious in our battle against this threat to all
humanity- the current Covid -19.
Until then, we are one people, unity is our strength.
Thanks to all health workers and frontliners in this war, humanity is proud of you. Keep up the good work, this too shall surely pass (credit to H.E. Nana Addo)
